Ok, question. how do I find out what PID's are available to my car?
I assume they are in sae.xxx format. where do I find the extensions? what do I have to do to poll what is available to me for data?

Download PCMSCAN and connect to the vehicle. You don't need a license key to simply check and see which PIDs are supported. You can view the list on the PID Config tab.
