I'm sorry no one has replied to this post, and I hope you have received an answer by now.

PCMSCAN is a generic OBD-II software scanner. ScanXL supports all the generic OBD-II information that PCMSCAN reads with the addition of enhanced diagnostics for Ford vehicles (with more to come).

I recommend ScanXL for anyone (new or advanced).

Be sure you get the correct ScanXL solution that you require, if you already have an ELM327 for example, get ScanXL-ELM, if you have an Elmscan5, get ScanXL-Elmscan, or if you have the J2534 get ScanXL-J2534. If you do not have a compatible hardware interface, I would recommend one of the ELM options as they are far cheaper than the J2534.
