I have DashCommand and now need to select an adapter.

In the 2009 Subaru I have a spare canbus connector behind the double DIN (used if you purchase the nav option so that unit can display fuel consumption). Does DashCommand with canbus and which adapter do you recommend (or know works for Subaru).

FYI: I'm using the GTR dxl files that asmpbm made available.

A scantool.net ELMSCAN interface should work just fine. You can buy ours or get it straight from scantool.net.

Could you tell us more about this spare connector? Maybe send in a picture?

I found a better picture here.
It's plugs into the green connector (top right).

Canusb adapter is on its way to me and then I have to fabricate a hook up to the can connections behind the dash. Then I will use can explorer software to decode all the can messages before attempting to hook it up to DashCommand. I'm willing to share everything I come up with if you guys can help me integrate the signals to your product.

Oh, and in the meantime, I have a 2009 Subaru STI dash skin project underway. Gauges will follow this style...
