With many troubleshooting trees, the ability to diagnose problems relies on the ability to command a obd2 component to turn on or off. As an example, a troubleshooting tree for a code P403 which is a egr circuit problem asks you to command the egr to open and observe if it does or not. With ScanXL you can do this by using the terminal program. The only problem is what values in hex do you type in the window for an egr command? It would be nice if someone published some hex strings that commanded different things to turn on and off for troubleshooting as ScanXL doesn't have the capability to send commands without the terminal program.
