hi ,sorry if i sound a bit dumb
can i use pcmscan on my 2002 bmw 318ti with my kwp2000+ lead ?
duz it work like the vagcom i have for my golf and plug in an odb2 port or do i have to use the old style round bmw plug i got with my kwp2000?
can anybody give me a little help ,do i need to know anything else i only want to check for faults on my new car and pcmscan looks like the tool for me.
loads better than owt ive used before if not a little less simple due to it being for lots of makes of cars.thanx.

You should be able to use PCMSCAN with any OBD-II compliant vehicle. It sounds like your car is compliant, but this article can help you check:

Also, I would suggest getting ScanXL Std instead of PCMSCAN. PCMSCAN is old now, and we are no longer updating it. For the same price, ScanXL Std gives you most of the same features, plus a few extra. Its here:
