Can't get PCMSCAN to work with Tactrix Open Port on M5

Hello,
I am using PCMSCAN with Tactrix 2.0 to try and log data on an E39 M5.  I have PCMSCAN configured to J2534, when I try and connect over USB to OBD2 I get

any idea why I am not able to connect?
