Hello,

I have a fuel consumption problem that I am trying to document using Dash Command on my iPhone.

My thought was that I could use one of the trip screens to document the mileage, miles driven etc, use the data logger to look at some of the engine info and then use the race track to document what the drive looks like.

Ideally, I would like to have the map view as opposed to the satellite view and it would be great to get some info like changes in elevation etc on the screen.

I know this a different use that you appear to have intended it for.

Questions:
- Is there a way to have the map view instead of the satellite view?
- Sometimes the satellite view does not show up and the background is black.  What do I need to do to get the view filled in?
- The entire circuit seems to reset when connection to the car again.  Is there a way to keep the circuit going even though there might be multiple stops and restarts of DC?

I suspect much of what I am asking for is new functionality but my preference would be to add this after you have taken care of the current instabilities are fixed and some other improvements to the UI are completed.

thx bert

Yeah. I think most of this would be new functionality. We'll check these when we are considering new features to add.

As far as the screen staying black, this usually happens if you are unable to connect to the Internet. For example I've seen it inside buildings where I cannot get a signal.

Hi John,

I'm pretty sure I had good signal when the screen was black.  I have seen DC get quiet at times when the auto interface turns off.  I may or may not have had logging on.

regards, bert
