That one way to get around the problem, yes. If you are going down that road I'd suggest the OBDLink WiFi or the GoPoint GL1. They are both great interfaces and should work fine.

We have been doing some tests the last few days with the OT-2 and we believe we have some ideas to help things along -- but we haven't solved it yet.

And I think you should post this restriction here to avoid firther performance complaints until you solve this problem.

Did you test DashComand with GoPoint BT-1?

We haven't yet added support for the BT-1. It will be in our next release. That should be soon, but we don't have a date for it yet.

Hi,
I have a similar issue, with using Iphone 4s, OT-2 and Dash command 2.9.2 which I recently upgraded and am sure the update mentioned better OT-2 compatibility.

I too get the same message as the OP trying to connect.
OT 2 shows Wireless, Vehicle..... then a bit later..... MTS    which flashes a little and then I get the error in Dash command.   This is an 2002 Audi TT diags via K-Line hence ISO as you mentioned.

I also have a PLX Kiwi that seems to work fine on the same car using Dashcommand, this was bought because of the previous problems with the OT-2 which I would like to continue to use.

I'd be interested in the new release and fixes you are able to resolve for the OT-2 as it would be nice for it to work as expected, at present I have had no success with it and DC.

Also when you set up a car you can  enter PID's , any chance of adding custom locations to labels and allow PID entry so owners can try other options.
( maybe there already but I couldn't see it in obvious locations)

Wak. I am not the person who checks the emails, and I don't know whether your email has been received or responded to.

Generally emails with tech logs take 1 day for our support team to examine. Then they will contact you back through email.

If you haven't received a response after a couple of days then you can post back on the forums and I will ask them about it.

As far as the OT-2, we are contacting Innovate about how to resolve the issues customers are having with their device.

Thanks.

Sashik, I'm sorry but we are not much closer. We contacted Innovate, and they directed us to email somebody in their company. However they have not yet responded to our email, which was over a week ago.

We've called them again today and they promised to follow up on our email.

We think this is a problem with the OT-2 hardware, so we cannot make any progress without help from them. But it is helpful to have you keep asking so that we can mention to Innovate that we are still having customers with this issue.

Have you tried to contact Innovate support regarding this matter?

We are still working on this issue. Communication with Innovate is slow.

Hi, men.
Only two questions:

1. Any news about this issue with OT2?
2. Can you tell me that GoPoint BT1 will work fine with DashComand and my AUDI A6 C5? (I have read topic about some issues with BT1 and Honda - and it reminds me my "Error detecting OBDII protocol" with OT-2 and my AUDI)

Thank you.

Last Friday Innovate told me that they were unable to reproduce the issue and were looking for a car that they could test with.

We haven't seen any problems with the BT-1 other than with Hondas. I don't know of anybody that has tried the AUDI with the BT-1, but if they have then they have not reported any problems.
