OBDII Interface not found error message?? Help!

First of all, I have a generic obd2 to usb cable, found here: http://amzn.com/B002WIN8VQ
I am running the DashCommand on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

Console reads as follows:

My FTDI Drivers are up-to date, and I'm pretty sure I have everything set up right.... What am I doing wrong??

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

VAG-Com are for Volkswagen/Audi/Porche only.  You will need an ELM327 cable to connect with DashCommand.

Just to be clear.. I just bought the wrong type connector, and need to buy an ELM327 type OBD2-usb connector?

Yes, you will need an ELM327 OBD-II cable.
