I am having issues with Dash Command  ver 3.0.1 build 2761 since the power and torque calculations are behaving erratically. They seem to be ok with decent values but then a few seconds later they both show way too low or high values and then back to more accurate values, this goes on and makes the displayed values useless. All other parameters that are displayed behave reasonable smooth and accurate.

Wonder if the built-in accelerometer in the iPad is involved in the calculation of power and torque? If so, can it be disabled?

I've have configured both "settings" and "vehicle settings" with appropriate data. I didn't have these issues earlier with the Windows-version on my laptop so this problem started when switched to iPad and the GoPoint BT interface.

Hardware:

Chevrolet Impala SS 1996. 5.7 litre LT1

GoPoint BT1 Bluetooth OBDII adapter
iPhone 4S (FW 5.1.1, not jailbroken)
iPad 2 (FW 5.1.1, not jailbroken)

Regards,
Tony

http://www.palmerperformance.com/download/CALC_PID_Reference.pdf

This is the CALC_PID reference. Take a look at CALC.ENGINE_POWER. This shows the inputs that go into it.

There might be somebody with a better idea what you can try, but they will probably not answer on the weekends.

I'd suggest adding the appropriate PIDs to the data logging screen and see if anything is giving an erratic value.
