Hi,
When I go into data logging settings section in the iOS dashcommand app, it asks me to add some PID's to tell it what parameters to log. However when I open the log file in ScanXL, it seems as though all data is logged?

In DashCommand > Settings, there are a group of persistent PIDs that you can change. These persistent PIDs are always logged, no matter what screen or dashboard you are looking at. What's probably going on is you're seeing all of these persistent PIDs in the data log.

You should be able to just turn off the persistent PIDs and they will stop getting logged.

Thanks for the info. So if I delete all PIDs in the logging options, then the dashboards will still work because the minimum set required is still set by the persistent PIDs? In that case is it true that if I clear both the PIDs in the logging section and the persistent PIDs then no data at all will get into dashcommand? Thanks!

DashCommand will automatically log any PIDs on the current screen, and then logs all of the persistent PIDs on top of that. So if you turn off the persistent PIDs, you will only get the data in the log for the screen you are looking at, whether thats a dashboard or the data logging screen doesn't matter.
