Okay, so maybe this seems like a silly idea, but here goes...

Just in looking around the internet, I see these Knight Rider dash boards going for around $8,000 and up with all these leds and lights and gizmo's and stuff. It seems to me (at least) that if someone were to buy a cheap VGA lcd display and put a custom DashXL on it, then throw it in their KITT car...don't you have the same thing for a heck of a lot less money? Is it possible to make such a "digital" dash using this system?

The only speedbump I could see is that older trans-ams and firebirds (82-92) are OBD-I. Beyond that, it seems like a pretty straight forward idea.

Yes, our DashXL system should have no problems reproducing a Knight Rider style dashboard. However, you will need to get an OBD-II vehicle to use it on.
