Hi Brian,

I know you mentioned there are some PCM Scan users using the Tech Egdge 2C0 WB02 interface and I see there are 5 Tech Edge PID's available in PCM scan (AFR, Lambda, V1, V2, and V3).

Tech Edge indicated that the 2C0, 2A0 and new 2Y all use the same selectable frame formates of 1.5 or 2.0.  This is all good news.

My questions:
1.  Is there any feedback from the Tech Edge 2C0 users (I didn't seem to find any postings here).
2.  I assume at this time PCM Scan does not support the additional Tech Edge inputs of TC1, TC2 and TC3 and RPM correct?  If my assumption is correct, will you be adding this support?

Thanks,
ATL

I'm not aware of any feedback from current 2C0 users.

Currently, PCMSCAN only supports those PIDs that are already in the software. We can add support for the other PIDs though. I'll have to take another look at the frame format and see how difficult it will be. It shouldn't be too hard.

Thanks for the reply, sounds good.

I'm considering the Tech Edge over the other products because of it's integrated ability to log and store data independant of a PC.  The extra PID's would make it's internal logging feature even more useful.

After revisiting the TechEdge spec, I doubt we'll add anymore TechEdge PID's. You see, the RPM PID is scaled in such a way that the user would have to manually configure it anyways before it would be useful. And since that information is available through the OBD-II port, it doesn't make too much sense to add it.

I see what you mean about RPM.  But the other 3 PID's are usefull (thermocouple inputs, also convertable to 0-4.99V inputs).
Regarding scaling, wouldn't one have to do manual configurations for any of these types of PID's coming for AUX devices?

Yes, the other 3 PID's are useful, and we could probably support them.

As for the manual configuration, currently the only manual configuration needed is to just tell the software to connect to the right aux input device on the right port. Other than that, you don't have to set anything up.

I would like to get some information on getting the 2A0 reading correctly?
