Brand new to both the products PCMSCAN and the forum.  Great product!

I have a 2007 Volvo S60R and am interested in collecting boost data.  It seems though this PID is not yet available for my vehicle, or none seem to work.  Can I request that it be added?  It would be very handy and relevant as many of us with modified "R"'s want that input.

If I'm wrong and there is a way to get the information please tell me how. Thanks for the help!

Hi Johnr352,

You are correct, and unfortunately SAE.MAP is not a supported PID in P2 Turbo Volvo's (I say turbo because it IS available on most NA Volvos).  This is a function what Volvo decided to make available through generic ODB2 commands.

Adding Volvo-specific support for the boost PID would be great and would generate TONS of interest from existing PCM Scan owners over at Swedespeed and tons of potential new PCM Scan owners.  (post this as a feature request)

Agreed, it would generate much interest.  I have posted it as a feature request but with no response yet... Roll Eyes

This is what I posted in response to your feature request:

I'll add it to the list of things to do. It would be part of a Volvo enhanced diagnostics add-on package, at an additional cost.

In any case, I'd like to get Volvo enhanced diagnostics support going also, but it takes a lot of time.

Any chance we could have it as a one-off request, even with a (reasonable) up charge?  Maybe then, when you complete the enhanced diagnostics we could get a small credit towards purchasing the whole upgrade.  Mostly I'm asking what can we do to speed up the process to get the boost PID, even if it means some dough.  And, Like ATL seems to agree - If you build it, they will come (swedespeed).  We could then do a group buy for the kit with the boost PID.  Just an idea...  Thanks for your consideration.

Man...I would love to have the SAE.MAP available for us.  I'm going to install my CarPC this weekend and having the virtual dash is going to be awesome.  It would be even cooler having boost in there Smiley

Yes!  Well, I'm still shooting for a one-off SAE.MAP for the Volvo.  I'm thinking we could get any number of swedespeed participants interested, even with an added cost, while we waited for the other enhanced features.  I haven't heard from Brian on the viability of this idea and so am feeling a little stuck.

Brian?

Thanks

Sounds like a good thing Brian - add-on for PCMScan!  Smiley

We do plan on adding this.  It will be included in the Volvo enhanced diagnostics.  Please be patient.

We are patient, we are patient!  Well, sort of.  We'll try.  We won't hold you to it exactly, of course, but I am wondering if you could provide an estimate of when those diagnostics might be available?  I mean, are you thinking a month, 3, 6, a year?  Two weeks?  Two weeks is good!

Just a rough estimate would be helpful.  Thanks

I understand you are excited.  We want to get these new features out as fast as possible.  I can tell you it will not be out in two weeks.  I am sorry a more reliable estimate is not available at this time.

A progress report?  I don't expect you all to be complete yet but was thinking that enough weeks may have now passed to allow you to make a reasonable estimate as to when the enhanced features will be available for Volvo and, most specifically, boost.  Please let us know.  Thanks.

Volvo boost support will not be available until GM, Chrysler and Toyota enhanced diagnostics are finished.

Thanks, that's mostly helpful.  I guess the next question would have to be...  When do you expect to complete the enhanced diagnostics for Toyota, GM, Chrysler?
