I just installed scan-XL and it is only giving me ford vehicles. I got the generic version. This threw me off a bit. I can enter my GM car and connect to it. Would I have been better off getting the PCMSCAN. I was under the impression they were the same except you could upgrade the SCANXL.

My dash board wouldnt read my RPM's or anything but I guess I will have to play with that, maybe I'm doing something wrong. Or do I have to purchase the dashboard as well?

Thanks looking forward to my new tool. Smiley

We currently only support Ford for enhanced diagnostics - that is why you only see Ford vehicles listed in the drop down boxes. But you can manually type in any vehicle and connect with generic OBD-II diagnostics support.

For your dashboard, did you start data logging? You won't get any readings until you start data logging.
