I have a 4.6L 1995 Ford Thunderbird.  (the V8's were OBDII compliant since 1994)
I'm trying to find out how many PIDs would be supported if I purchased the enhanced parameters option.  Searching my trial version of MSCSCAN reveals only 3 supported PIDs.  The thing that concerns me is the fact that I can't choose 1995 as model year.  I realize that OBDII was not required to be present on vehicles before 1996, but how do I know that entering "other" for my car's info displays  all of the possible PIDs that could be supported once I purchase ScanXL and try it out?  I don't think having access to only 3 PIDs is worth the extra money.  Please advise.

I am looking at purchasing the "ElmScan 5 Bluetooth ScanXL"
Thanks in advance for any info.

Yes, your vehicle should be supported. It isn't listed in the drop-down boxes, so just select a 1996 Thunderbird. According to my information, your vehicle should support at least the following PIDs:
