I am trying to pull up the codes for my truck and I get a message saying I need to purchase an license for that function. I already purchased the Generic OBD II and Enhanced GM software. Why am I receiving tis message?

with a basic compatible Elm327 adapter you should be able to bring up all Generic OBD codes. Any advance codes like ABS, BCM, etc you will not be able to bring up without the advanced updates. But personally I would wait as this software has not been updated since 2014....
