Hi, the hardware you sell (OBDLINK SX) can connect to the CAN bus at 500k baud.
Why is it the ELM baud for ScanXL has only 115200 as the maximum baud rate?
Also what is "default rate" in baud rates and what speed is default?
Please tell me how to configure ScanXL so that it can connect at the same speeds as the OBDLINK SX @ 500k baud connection..

The baud rate you are selecting in ScanXL is the baud rate between ScanXL and the OBDLink, where 115200 is normal baud rate of the OBDLink SX and it won't work with other baud rates. Selecting default will search multiple baud rates for your hardware until it finds which one your hardware supports, since many other (especially older) ELM devices run at 38400 baud.

500k baud is the rate between the vehicle CAN bus and the OBDLink. The OBDLink is still communicating over CAN at 500k regardless of the baud rate between ScanXL and the OBDLink.
